#GoalDigger: How to Create a Goal Board
Goal Digger (n.; adj.) Someone filled with ambition, determination, and passion to reach their goals and full potential in life.
Hmm, so that's what it means to be a "Goal Digger". Make sure you read that correctly. A Goal Digger not a Gold Digger. If you're here for being a Gold Digger, then you're in the wrong place my friend.
I like to consider myself a Goal Digger, but keeping up with goals in college can sometimes be quite the challenge. Its just a place full of distractions on top of distractions. What on earth can I do to keep me on top of my game?
Creating a Goal Board, my take on the vision board, is the perfect solution. This board doesn't get into the law of attraction, manifestation, and all that jazz. I just wanted to create something to simply remind me of my goals every day.
And if you're like me and live in a not so cute college dorm room this will be a cool way to add some flair to your space.
Here's all you need:
A list of your goals
1 Poster Board
Magazines
Markers
Scissors
Glue
Extra decorative items (optional)
Step 1:
What would a Goal Board be without goals? Just a board. So you want to write out all the goals you have set for yourself. This will be helpful when choosing what you want to place on your board. For example, two of my goals were: Buy a car and Get all A's this year. *Praying that I reach them all*
Step 2:
Now its time to choose what you want on your board. This can take either 10 min. or 1 hour. It seems like it took me forever. Use your goal list as a guide when choosing your pictures. Cut out affirmations, words, and whatever else will add to making your board the best for you. Since one of my goals is to buy a car, of course looked I for pictures and sayings that indicated anything about cars.
Step 3:
Its time to place everything together. Placing before you glue everything down will make the process so much easier. Trust Me. Once the layout is to your liking, you've guessed it...glue it down!
Step 4:
Use the empty space to write in words or any sayings that you want. I chose to write some of my favorite scriptures. Your Goal Board is yours so add any final touches and glam up your board.
Step 5:
The whole purpose of this board is so you can physically see it. The final step is to place it where you can do so. My suggestion is to put in a spot in your room where you can see it when you first wake up in the morning or in an area where you do your work. Just make sure its visible to you!
Creating a Goal Board is easy as pie! If you decide to create one upload it on Instagram with the hashtag #MSGoalBoard so that I may see it.
Good luck Goal Diggers!
