I’m super excited to be bringing back #ManeCrushMonday! As a refresher or for my newbies, #ManeCrushMonday is where I feature girl bosses who have an amazing sense of style and awesome hair to match. Talk about a killer combo!

First up is Zaria Brown of A Dose of Fab! A Dose of Fab is a style blog where you can get your “prescriptions for your fashion addictions”. I’ve been following Zaria for quite some time and just knew she had to be featured. She is the the epitome of what a #ManeCrushMonday is all about. So it is my pleasure to be sharing this interview you all. Let’s get to it!

Mane Style: How long have you been natural?

Zaria B.: I started transitioning in April 2015, but cut the rest of the relaxer off in August 2016. So, almost three years.

MS: What is your go-to hairstyle that never fails?

ZB: A braid out! The definition honey!

MS: Do you have any holy-grail products you can’t live without?

ZB: Wow, so many! Be patient here. Luster’s Pink Leave in Conditioner, Mane Choice’ entire Heavenly Halo Collection, Alikay Naturals Essential Hair Growth Oil, Eco Styler Gel, and my Homemade Shea Butter Mix.

MS: Describe your personal style in two words?

ZB: Colorful & Glam

MS: What clothing store(s) could we find you in, mostly?

ZB: Physically, H&M or a good thrift store. Online, I’m bound to end up any and everywhere, but I love Shein, Pretty Little Thing, VICI, Forever 21, and ASOS.

MS: If you couldn’t live without one thing in your closet what would it be?

ZB: My printed skirts, they set any outfit off for me!

MS: Does your outfit of the day reflect how you wear your hair? Or vice versa?

ZB: When trying on clothes I’m always trying to decide if I should wear the look with a wig, a puff, or my fro. So, my outfit is the deciding factor for me.

MS: Just for fun, who are your top three #WCW or just women who inspire you?

ZB: Tracee Ellis Ross, Ryan Destiny, and Sarah Jakes Roberts.

MS: If you could share one of piece advice with readers, whether it be about style, hair or life, what would it be?

ZB: Just be you and do you. Wear what you want, buy what you want, but don’t try to keep up with what everybody else is doing. It’s okay to follow some trends, but set your own path. Also, remember to trust God’s timing and know that when it’s your time, it’s your time.
